Homiletics: An Introduction

Homiletics is a discipline that discusses how to prepare and deliver sermons effectively. The course has two major parts. The first part focuses on the basics of Homiletics, such as biblical foundations of preaching, a historical survey of evangelization in Ethiopia, types of sermons and different venues for delivering them, etc. The second part of the course aims to deal with practical homiletics, such as the qualities of a preacher and the means to deliver sermons effectively. Disciples of this course are required to prepare written sermons and are expected to deliver them in front of the class.
