History
Mahibere Kidusan (MK) means Society (Union) in reverence of Saints in the Orthodox tradition. Mahibere Kidusan is the product of young Ethiopian Orthodox Christians’ spiritual activities that started in Higher Educational Institutions. MK received the blessing of the Holy Synod of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church,and has been providing service under its Sunday Schools Department since 1991.
Vision
Establishing an up-to-date, standardized higher learning institution which efficiently portrays the dogmatic and doctrinal teachings as well as traditions of the EOTC and changes its image for the better.
Mission
Effectively Evangelize the Western World (Americans, Europeans and beyond), those already in the path, by teaching and reaching out the word of God in their vernacular languages.
Train and assign well trained religious teachers to other assortments of the EOTC mainly the Gregory Academy and Campus Ministries.
Reach out non- believers in the western world through trained preachers on a yearly basis.
Get involved in different research works, symposiums and other events that are of great values to the EOTC in particular and Ethiopia in general.
ESDEROS EOTC Theological Seminary is named after Memhir (Father and Teacher) Esderos.
Memehir Esderos managed to read well over 300 books only during his stay at Tana Monasteries.
The institution previously named as MK academy
The academy was officially named as Esderos Theological Seminary after a discussion on the matter back in 2019.
